Students would be able to identify the nets of solid shapes and create solid shapes out the nets.
In this activity, give different nets to students and ask them to identify the shape that would be formed using a given net. The twist here is they can just look at the net and use their visualization. Folding the net can be used for concept development but later on, try to let them identify by just looking at the net.
In this activity, students have to make different shapes using different nets and describe the properties of the given shape. Various 2D and 3D shapes can be compared while doing this activity.
In this activity, let the children use their creativity and ask them to use colored sheets, scissors, and scales to create their own nets. Assign a shape to them and let them come up with their own procedure of making the net of the given solid shape.
