Learning Objectives

Students will be able to define prime numbers and identify them as a part of the number system.

Activity 1: The Number Grid

In this activity, you have to take a number grid and a pointer. Every time a new number is pointed, kids will have to answer whether it is prime or not. Make sure to ask them the reasons behind their answers and this activity can also be done in the form of a quiz.

Activity 2: The Digital Way

This activity on ArcBook is a comprehensive activity on how to identify prime numbers and the two modes of the activity (Play and Practise) easily help the learner to develop as well as test the concept of Prime numbers.

Activity 3: Board Game on Primes

This activity is liked by a lot of kids wherein you take any number board game (like snakes and ladders) and play it by the usual rules. Every time, the children land upon a new number, check their knowledge for primes and let them take 1 step ahead/backward according to their response. The rules can be tweaked to make it more interesting.
